Liddell to be Immortalized in Wax

Just weeks after a white chocolate bust of Dana White made this
very blog, former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck
Liddell will receive a similar immortalization.
Madame Tussauds Wax Mueseum will honor “The Iceman” with a wax statue to be unveiled on Friday, May 28 at the UFC Fan Expo.
The Expo will take place May 28 and 29 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev. A press release sent to media on Thursday states that the statue will then be moved to Madame Tussauds’ Las Vegas branch, where it will be placed “inside a UFC Octagon, along with Liddell’s trunks and UFC championship belt.”
Liddell’s bust will join other Madame Tussauds recent wax additions such as U.S. President Barack Obama and Calvin “Snoop Dogg” Broadus. The 40-year-old Liddell (21-7) is currently coaching the 11th season of Spike’s “The Ultimate Fighter,” where he is matched up against nemesis Tito Ortiz.
According to Thursday’s release, the average wax work costs $300,000 to engineer.
