PBC on FS1 Weigh-in Results: Vazquez, Bones On Point
Premier Boxing Champions returns to the Cowboys
Dancehall in San Antonio, Texas, Saturday night for another edition
of PBC on FS1. Headlining the event will be a junior lightweight
affair between Miguel Vazquez and late replacement Erick Bone.
Vazquez (35-5, 13 KOs) is looking to rebound from a shocking unanimous decision loss to Argenis Mendez in October. The former IBF lightweight champion aims to turn his fortunes around against Bones; “Titere” has dropped two of his last three fights.
Bone, meanwhile, is hoping to get his own career back on track.
Bone (16-3, 8 KOs) has lost two in a row, but both of those
setbacks came against high-level foes in former world champions
Shawn Porter and Chris Algieri.
At Friday’s weigh-ins, both fighters came in on point, giving their showdown the green light. Bone first checked in at 144 pounds. Vazquez followed suit and weighed in at 143.6 pounds.
The PBC on FS1 card will air live on the cable sports network beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
Miguel Flores (127.2) vs. Ruben Tamayo (127)
Rickey Edwards (137.2) vs. John Delperdang (136)
