Ray Longo, who trains Chris Weidman, discussing on “Beatdown” his fighter’s reach and the role it played against Anderson Silva:

“I think his reach was undaerestimated by Anderson and he just couldn’t get out of the way of that last punch and even some of the other punches before that. He hit [Silva] with a nice right hand. Anderson made like nothing bothered him, but I think the fact that Chris was hitting him and he actually made Anderson miss him, I think created the dynamic that set up that knockout.”
