The ordering process for Ultimate Fighting Championship pay-per-views has changed: UFC 240 is only available on ESPN+ in the U.S.

After an impressive Ultimate Fighting Championship debut in which she starched compatriot Talita Bernardo, Brazilian knockout sensation Viviane Araujo is back to take on tough veteran Alexis Davis.

Currently on a two-fight skid, Davis will look to get back in the win column and eventually to title contention by beating the up-and-coming Araujo. This is an interesting UFC 240 fight, and the numbers below are more than enough proof.

Overall experience

Davis has been in the game since April 7, 2007 when she lost to fellow future UFC standout Sarah Kaufman at an event called UCW 7 “Anarchy.” She fought four times in her home country of Canada before displaying her skills in the United States. Just a few fights more, and she found herself holding the Raging Wolf women’s bantamweight championship. Davis’ success brought her to bigger organizations like Strikeforce, Invicta FC, and the UFC. She currently holds a record of 19-9.

Araujo started rather late in professional mixed martial arts. While Davis went pro when she was 22 years old, Araujo was turning 29 when she took the plunge. The Brazilian fought and tapped out Ana Karla Morais in an event called Fight K - Aguia. She fought for various organizations, including top Brazilian promotion Jungle Fight as well as Pancrase before making her way to the UFC.

UFC appearances

Araujo entered the UFC with some hype behind her, and why not -- all seven of her victories have come via stoppage. That’s a 100 percent finishing rate for the native of Brasilia. Her Octagon debut was an undercard bout for the strawweight title fight between Rose Namajunas and Jessica Andrade, which took place at UFC 237 on May 11. Araujo made sure to get heads turning by stopping Bernardo in the third round.

Against Araujo, Davis will be stepping inside the Octagon for the 11th time. The fighter out of Combat Sports Academy debuted with a decision victory over fellow UFC debutante Roxi Sexton at UFC 161 held on June 15, 2013. She’s been in the UFC long enough to have faced some of the organization’s finest. In addition, Davis fought for the bantamweight title then held by Ronda Rousey. “Ally-Gator” now has a promotional record of 6-4.

First-round finishes

Five of Davis’ 19 victories have come in the first round, making quick work of Jody Wadsworth, Tannaya Hantelman, Kate Roy, Margarita Kolmykova and Tonya Evinger. Araujo, for her part, only has four first-round stoppages to her name. The big difference is that she’s only had eight professional bouts, winning seven of them.

Career losses

Araujo’s lone defeat was dealt by Sarah Frota, who now fights in the UFC. The Astra Fight Team representative knocked out Araujo in the first round at NP Fight Brazil 6. The more experienced Davis has nine losses, no thanks to Sarah Kaufman (twice), Rousey, Sara McMann, Tara LaRosa, Shayna Baszler, Elaina Maxwell, Katlyn Chookagian and Jennifer Maia.
