Khabib Nurmagomedov has long wanted to get his hands on Conor McGregor, and you can rest assured that McGregor feels the same. The thing is, “The Eagle” has been waiting patiently for some time while McGregor was busy with other things.

0: Russian-born Ultimate Fighting Championship champs before Nurmagomedov captured the vacant lightweight title by decisioning Al Iaquinta at UFC 223. It was his 26th win in as many bouts.
6: Fights at ProFC. Before getting signed by the UFC, he competed
six times with the Russian-based promotion. Each bout ended inside
the opening frame.
1: Round needed to defeat Bellator MMA title challenger Shahbulat Shamhalaev in a M-1 Selection contest.

323: Total strikes landed in the UFC. Much of this is on the ground, but Nurmagomedov has proven that he has some standup skills.
