If it wasn’t already clear from a resume full of knockouts, Jiri Prochazka once again showed on Saturday night that he has some serious offensive firepower.

The Czech starched former title challenger Dominick Reyes with a spinning back elbow 4:29 into the second round of their UFC on ESPN 23 headlining bout at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday night. With the victory, the ex-Rizin Fighting Federation title holder could be in line to face the winner of the 205-pound championship clash between Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira later this year.

3: Spinning back elbow knockouts in UFC history. With his spectacular finish of Reyes, Prochazka joins Dong Hyun Kim and Ricardo Ramos as the only fighters to accomplish this feat.

77: Significant strikes landed by Prochazka in a little less than 10 minutes of fight time. Reyes, meanwhile landed 63 significant strikes in defeat. “Denisa” outlanded his foe 45 to 39 in Round 1 and 32 to 24 in Round 2.

25: KO/TKO victories among 28 career triumphs for Prochazka.

12: Consecutive professional triumphs for Prochazka, who hasn’t tasted defeat since a knockout loss to Muhammad Lawal under the Rizin banner in December 2015. All but one of those victories have come via KO or TKO.

6: Consecutive victories for Giga Chikadze, tying him with Zabit Magomedsharipov for the third-longest active winning streak in the UFC’s featherweight division behind only Arnold Allen (eight) and Alex Volkanovski (seven). Chikadze folded Cub Swanson with a liver kick and sealed his victory with follow-up punches 63 seconds into Round 1 of their co-main event clash.

4: Knockdowns landed by Chikadze in his last four Octagon appearances.

8: Takedowns landed by Ion Cutelaba during the opening round of his light heavyweight tilt against Dustin Jacoby. That ties Jimmy Crute’s effort vs. Michal Oleksiejczuk at UFC Fight Night 168 in February 2020 for the most in the history of the division in a single round. Cutelaba landed eight of his 11 attempts in Round 1.

1: Takedown landed in eight attempts by Cutelaba over the final 10 minutes against Jacoby. As Cutelaba faded, he was unable to overwhelm his opponent with his wrestling. The end result was a split draw.

73: Significant strikes landed by Jacoby in Rounds 2 and 3 combined. Cutelaba landed 45 significant strikes during that same period after outlanding his opponent by a 26-to-11 count in Round 1.

84: Significant strikes landed by Sean Strickland in a clear-cut decision triumph over Krzysztof Jotko at 185 pounds. By comparison, Jotko landed just 37 significant strikes. Strickland outlanded his foe 26 to 14 in Round 1, 23 to 11 in Round 2 and 35 to 12 in Round 3 while connecting at a 46 percent success rate compared to 18 percent for Jotko.

5: Consecutive victories for Merab Dvalishvili, the second-longest winning streak in the UFC’s banamweight division behind only teammate Aljamain Sterling (six). Dvalishvili outpointed Cody Stamann in a featured bantamweight contest. Note: Dvalishvili is on a six-bout winning streak overall, but one of those victories came in a catchweight affair.

178: Total strikes landed by Dvalishvili. By comparison, Stamann landed 73 total strikes. Dvalishvili also landed five of 11 takedown attempts, compared to Stamann’s 1-for-4 effort in that category.

10: Losses in UFC competition for Randa Markos, making her the first woman in the promotion with that many defeats. “The Ultimate Fighter 20” veteran was disqualified after landing an illegal upkick against Luana Pinheiro in a strawweight matchup.

123: Combined significant striking advantage for Konklak Suphisara in her three UFC triumphs. “Loma Looboonme” outlanded Sam Hughes by an 84-to-49 count in a three-round verdict on Saturday. The muay Thai standout has also held sizeable advantages in wins over Jinh Yu Frey (80-26) and Aleksandra Albu (99-65).

1: Fighter from Greece to earn a victory in the Octagon, after Andreas Michailidis accomplished the feat at UFC on ESPN 23 Saturday. The Athens, Greece, native outpointed K.B. Bhullar in a preliminary middleweight bout.

40: Significant striking deficit for Felipe Colares in a unanimous decision triumph over Luke Sanders at featherweight. That checks in as the largest striking deficit in the history of the division for the winner of a decision. All told, Sanders outlanded Colares by a 118-to-78 count in significant strikes.
