The stage now belongs to Bryan Battle and Andre Petroski.
Battle and Petroski will collide in the first middleweight semifinal on Episode 10 of “The Ultimate Fighter 29,” which features current Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight titleholder Alexander Volkanovski and No. 1 contender Brian Ortega as opposing coaches. The Battle-Petroski winner moves on to the tournament final to face either Tresean Gore or Gilbert Urbina.
Operating out of a Hayastan MMA affiliate in Charlotte, North Carolina, Battle owns a 5-1 professional record. The 26-year-old was Volkanovski’s eighth—and final—pick at 185 pounds and defeated Kemran Lachinov by unanimous decision in the quarterfinals. Petroski, meanwhile, also sports a 5-1 record as a pro. As Ortega’s No. 2 pick at 185 pounds, he submitted Aaron Phillips with a first-round guillotine choke in the quarterfinals.
