BetUS.com lists Adesanya as a hefty -650 for the main event, with Strickland as a +425 underdog. In the co-headliner, Volkov is favored at -244, with Tuivasa coming back at +204.

Adesanya, 34, has established himself as a pound-for-pound mainstay and a go-to box-office draw. “The Last Stylebender” enters the cage with wins in four of his past five bouts. Adesanya last appeared at UFC 287, where he reclaimed the middleweight crown and closed the book on his rivalry with Brazilian kickboxer Alex Pereira with a sensational second-round knockout on April 8. Strickland, meanwhile, nailed down his title shot with back-to-back victories. The 32-year-old former King of the Cage champion last competed on July 1, when he put away Abusupiyan Magomedov with punches in the second round of their UFC on ESPN 48 confrontation.

UFC 293 “Adesanya vs. Strickland” also features a flyweight tilt matching Manel Kape (-400) with Felipe dos Santos (+300), a heavyweight affair pitting Justin Tafa (-200) against Austen Lane (+165) and a light heavyweight clash pairing Tyson Pedro (-115) with Anton Turkalj (-115). Light heavyweights highlight the undercard, where City Kickboxing’s Carlos Ulberg (-260) squares off with Da Woon Jung (+210).
