Saturday, 5:20 a.m. ET: It’s been more than a year since MMA fans have seen Gesias "JZ" Cavalcante in the ring.

The American Top Team star has had to deal with a string of adversity since his loss to Shinya Aoki in April of last year, but his itch for combat will be scratched on May 26 at Dream 9.

With Tatsuya Kawajiri in his sights, the lightweight discussed his time out of the sport recently with Sherdog.com’s TJ De Santis.
