Preliminary Card Announced for Road to Dubai Event on Jan. 25
The Road to Dubai undercard will have a distinctly Middle Eastern flavor.
The Professional Fighters League on Wednesday announced the full preliminary lineup for the Jan. 25 event, which takes place at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Jan. 25. The featured prelim is a middleweight clash pitting Tarek Suleiman against Ahmed Sami.
Six other bouts were also confirmed for the event: Hadi Omar Al Hussaini vs. Ruel Panales at flyweight; Yakub Sulimanov vs. Jarrah Al-Silawi at middleweight; John Mitchell vs. Souhil Tahiri at lightweight; Youssef Al Housani vs. Assem Ghanem at featherweight; Mostafa Rashed Nada vs. Haider Khan at middleweight and Mirafzal Akhtamov vs. Mike Thompson at lightweight.
Road to Dubai is headlined by a lightweight championship showdown betweeen Usman Nurmagomedov and Paul Hughes. The promotion is still in search of a new co-main event following the recent cancellation of a proposed trilogy bout between Vadim Nemkov and Corey Anderson.
