UFC 206 takes place on Dec. 10 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and features a featherweight scrap pitting Max Holloway against Anthony Pettis. The main card will also see Donald Cerrone meet Matt Brown at welterweight, while Cub Swanson faces Doo Ho Choi at 145 pounds.
Cormier defeated Johnson via third-round submission to capture the vacant light heavyweight strap at UFC 187 in May 2015. Since then, the American Kickboxing Academy stalwart defended the belt with a split verdict over Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 192 before outpointing Anderson Silva in a non-title affair at UFC 200.
