Gallagher, who is the most compelling upcoming Irish prospect

McGregor, is set to make his promotional debut at BAMMA (United
Kingdom's Ultimate Fighting championship promotion).
After an illustrious 17-fight amateur career, as well as having claimed gold in the IMMAF world championship, Gallagher was drafted as one of many other elite amateur fighters to represent KHK MMA all over the globe. At 18 years of age, Gallagher won the world championship, which in turn provided him with the perfect transition into the professional ranks.

Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Gallegher made his much awaited professional
mixed martial arts (MMA) debut in Oct. 2015 defeating Denis Ahern
in a first round (rear naked choke) submission. The irishman went
on to finish the year with another victory at Chaos Fighting
Championship ( CFC 15 ) submitting Declan Mc Aleena via Guillotine
choke in the opening stanza.
Gallagher aka " Strabanimal" (2-0) is currently getting ready for his third professional appearance where he will face Gerard Gilmore at BAMMA 24.
The event will take place Feb.27 at 3Arena , Dublin , Ireland. The main event sees Cheikh Kone ( 13-3 ) defend his strap against John Phillips ( 18-6 ) in a middleweight title fight.
A third win would Mark James’s 11th straight victory since joining the infamous SBG gym ran by John Kavanagh. Gallagher was taken under the wings of highly respected coach at the age of 16 , not tasting defeat since then. Kavanagh is one of the most innovative coaches in the world who finally got his recognition through the success of UFC featherweight champion Conor Mc Gregor and other up and coming Irish fighters.
