Amanda Ribas' Rising Star

On a 4-1 stretch in in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Amanda Ribas is being recognized in Brazil not only for her results in the Octagon, but for her unique charisma and likability. After being named by the Brazilian edition of Forbes Magazine as one of the country’s top 90 stars under age 30, Ribas was invited by multinational Fiat to film an advertisement for Brazilian television.

In this exclusive conversation with Sherdog, Ribas talked about that great moment of her career and explained her Twitter invitation to Michele Waterson to fight. “Unfortunately she had to withdraw in January but we already have the contract ready. It´s just a matter of signing. She did not answer me, but according to my manager, the UFC wants to make it happen.” She also talked about her expectations for the upcoming title challenges: Valentina Shevchenko vs. Jessica Andrade and Rose Namajunas vs. Weili Zhang.
