Clay Collard Still Has ‘Bad Taste’ in His Mouth about Loss to Raush Manfio
Clay Collard still hasn’t entirely come to terms with his most recent loss. In August, Collard (21-9, 1NC; 3-1 PFL) took on Raush Manfio in the Professional Fighters League playoffs, dropping a unanimous decision to the Brazilian on that occasion. Manfio subsequently went on to win the championship, but Collard believes they still have some unfinished business. In a recent interview with Sherdog, “Cassius” stated that he is keen to lock horns with Manfio again this year. To achieve his goal, Collard first performed superbly against fellow Ultimate Fighting Championship alum Jeremy Stephens, taking home a unanimous decision victory at the end of a barnburner lightweight battle. Now, he needs to finish Alex Martinez at the upcoming PFL 4, which will go down on June 17, to get secure a place in the playoffs, where he might get his wish.
