UFC 259 will host three title fights on Saturday, and American Top Team will have fighters in two of the belt disputes.
Sherdog Brazilian correspondent Marcelo Alonso talked exclusively with ATT’s Marcos “Parrumpinha” da Matta, who discussed the challenges his students Petr Yan and Amanda Nunes will face in Aljamain Sterling and Megan Anderson, respectively.
“That Russian is a killer. He just can't train lightly,” said the Carlson Gracie black belt. “His main goal is to take Sterling down, get his back and choke him out.”
Saturday will mark Nunes’ first bout since the birth of her child.
“Her baby girl got her even more motivated to train,” said Da Matta. “Megan will face the worst Amanda.”
