PBC on FOX Weigh-in Results: Figueroa, Guerrero Hit Their Marks
The newly-renovated Nassau Veterans memorial Coliseum in Long
Island, N.Y., will serve as the host venue Saturday night as
Premier Boxing Champions brings another solid card to fight fans on
Fox and FS1. Former lightweight world champion Omar Figueroa Jr.
will collide with Robert Guerrero in a welterweight battle in the
main event and at Friday’s weigh-ins, everybody made weight.
Guerrero (33-5-1, 18 KOs), a former IBF featherweight and super featherweight world champ, is looking to get back to his championship ways after struggling against some of the best fighters on the planet during the last few years. “The Ghost” came in officially at 146.6 pounds, setting the stage for what might be his last big fight before hanging up his gloves for good.
Figueroa (26-0-1, 18 KOs), meanwhile, has been on a tear. The
unbeaten Texan is coming off an impressive win over Antonio DeMarco
in December and wants to add another important name to his resume.
“Panterita” came in slightly lighter than his foe; Figueroa Jr.
weighed 146.4 pounds.
The main card will be televised live on Fox and Fox Deportes beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. From there, the action will transfer to FS1 where Jamal James (146.2) will take on Jo Jo Dan (146.8) in a welterweight duel.
Marcus Browne (174.8) vs. Seanie Monaghan (174.6)
Artus Szpilka (225.6) vs. Adam Kownacki (242.2)
Brandon Figueroa (123.6) vs. Fatiou Fassinou (123)
Eric Walker (153.8) vs. Patrick Day (153.4)
Tommy Rainone (151.2) vs. Fidel Monterrosa (151.2)
Vincenzo D’Angelo (165.8) vs. Dequan Burgos (165.4)
