Anthony
Pettis, on “The
Savage Dog Show,” discussing the fact that his win over
Benson
Henderson has earned him a lightweight title shot in his UFC
debut at just 23 years old:
“It’s kind of scary to be in the position I’m in. I’m going for a UFC title in [my] first UFC fight. If it doesn’t go right, a lot can go wrong in that fight right there. You lose confidence losing the fight. A lot can go wrong right there. My big thing is I want to last in this sport. I want to keep my name in this sport for a long time. I’m 23 and I want to evolve with the sport and see how far I can take this.”
