Sherdog Rankings Released; Forums Riot, Loot

I imagine men in white Sherdog.com lab coats scurrying from server
to server, twisting dials, tripping over wires and putting out
small, smoky fires in anticipation of the traffic -- and
controversy -- created by their monthly
release of fighter rankings.
To the possible aneurysms of many, heavyweight bludgeon Brock Lesnar has surged from the No. 5 spot to No. 3 based on the strength of his win over Frank Mir on Saturday. Only Fedor Emelianenko and Josh Barnett are given better placement on the totem.
Is it earned, or is it the result of a lot of UFC-amplified noise? You can qualify any of Lesnar’s victories if you’re of the mind to: Heath Herring? Past his prime. Randy Couture? Always two days away from assisted living. Frank Mir? Beat a pre-pummeled Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
I say: Show me anyone who’s accomplished as much in his first five fights as Lesnar has in his.
