Twitter Wars: Dana White vs. M-1

After Antonio Silva’s thumping of Fedor Emelianenko, Dana White’s Twitter account reeked of schadenfreude, giving M-1 Global’s Vadim Finklechtien the business in text form:
“M1 = M done!” stated White’s Twitter account. “What did I tell you Vadummy!!”

“Easy to be a p---k tweeting on your phone, isn’t it? Come see us and say it to Vadim’s face -- we’re in ‘Jersey, coward.”
In a perfect world, Finkelchtein and White will share an elevator
ride in Vegas sometime. Here’s hoping the security cameras get it
on tape with clear audio.
The back-and-forth is reminiscent of some of the better moments between boxing promoters Don King and Bob Arum, who have spent 30 years in constant acrimony, occasionally being forced to stomach one another in co-promotions.
One such moment came after Felix Trinidad’s controversial decision over Oscar de la Hoya in 1999’s mistitled “Fight of the Millennium.” After allegedly rustling up a couple hundred fans to crash the post-fight press conference, King, reveling in his man Trinidad’s victory over Arum fighter De La Hoya, took to the microphone for a 30-minute tirade.
Arum eventually wilted under the pressure of the assault, yelling, “Turn his mic off!” King sang “Lonesome Bob! Lonesome Bob!” for the final minute of the rant, until the mic was cut.
Grown men can be very entertaining when hard feelings and big money are on the line. This Twitter thing is even better. Now everyone can share in pettiness and juvenile posturing when fighters lose, even the promoters.
