Age and experience
Pavlovich and Golm are both 26, with the former a little bit more experienced in professional mixed martial arts. After debuting in December 2014, Pavlovich went 12-0 before joining the UFC where he met and lost to Alistair Overeem in his very first fight. Golm debuted on April 2015, and just like Pavlovich, went undefeated at 5-0 before entering the Octagon. In his promotional debut, he submitted Christian Colombo but failed to sustain the momentum as he dropped his next two bouts to Timothy Johnson and Arjan Singh Bhullar.Finishing rate
With all six of his victories coming via stoppage, Brazil’s Golm is quite the finisher. He holds five wins by KO or TKO and one by submission. But what’s more impressive is the fact that all those conquests required only one round, two of which needed just a minute. Pavlovich, likewise, is a quick finisher with a finishing rate of 75 percent. He currently has 12 wins, nine of which came via KO or TKO and three by decision. He has three victories that ended in the first round.Career losses
Pavlovich made his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 141. Unfortunately for him, Overeem was the one tasked to welcome him. The former Fight Nights Global heavyweight king was stopped by “The Demolition Man” with less than a minute remaining in the first round. But there’s no shame in losing to such a high-profile veteran especially on a maiden bout. Unlike Pavlovich, Golm was successful in his promotional debut. But as aforementioned, he has since lost two straight and both were by decision.Arm and leg reach
With 84 inches of arm reach and 45 inches of leg reach, Pavlovich is one of the heavyweight division’s lengthier combatants, and this advantage continues to serve him well. Shorter in reach but not less dangerous is Golm, who has an arm reach of 75.5 inches and leg reach of 42.5 inches.Wins by knockout
Golm and Pavlovich have enough power in their fists to steal the limelight from UFC Fight Night 149’s main attractions. You only need to look at Golm’s first five triumphs, all of which came by KO or TKO. His victims include Jhonny Pereira, Danilo Espera, Marcio Pinheiro dos Santos, Italo Marques and Nicolas Oliveira. Pavlovich’s list of victims is longer, with Alexander Derevyanko, Sergey Buinachev, Ilja Skondric, Vladimir Daineko, Sultan Murtazaliev, Ruben Wolf, Chaban Ka, Akhmedshaikh Gelegaev and Kirill Sidelnikov.Related Articles
