By the Numbers: ‘TUF 15’ Finale
Martin Kampmann can’t be counted out. Seemingly outmatched on the feet against a favored opponent, the resilient Dane added to his comeback legend at “The Ultimate Fighter 15” Finale on Friday night, rallying to knock out Jake Ellenberger in the second round at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
In March, “The Hitman” took a beating at the hands of Thiago Alves for the better part of three rounds before recovering to stun the Brazilian with a late guillotine choke. Against Ellenberger, Kampmann appeared to be on the brink of defeat once again after a left hook from “The Juggernaut” floored him early in round one. Kampmann survived, however, and in the second frame, he dashed Ellenberger’s welterweight title hopes with a powerful knee in the clinch.

1: Knockout loss in 33 professional fights for Ellenberger. Kampmann stopped the Reign MMA export with a knee in the clinch to become the first person to finish “The Juggernaut” with strikes since his career began in 2005.
44: Total significant strikes by which Kampmann has been
outlanded in his last three UFC bouts, victories over Ellenberger,
Thiago

3: Victories in four weeks for “TUF” winner Micheal Chiesa. Prior to submitting Al Iaquinta on Friday night, “Maverick” topped Justin Lawrence and James Vick in exhibition bouts to earn his way to the final.
6: Consecutive first-round submission triumphs for Chiesa after locking up Iaquinta with a rear-naked choke at 2:27 of the opening frame, not including his exhibition matches on The Ultimate Fighter. None of Chiesa’s previous five victims prior to his stint on “TUF” had lasted longer than 2:13.

10: Wins by knockout, technical knockout or submission in 10 professional appearances for Myles Jury, who defeated Chris Saunders with a guillotine choke at 4:03 of the first round in his UFC debut. All of Jury’s opponents have been finished inside of a round.

Sicilia landed 7 of his 47 significant strikes in an opening frame that saw him come up empty on the majority of his haymakers. The Washington native improved considerably in round two, connecting on 26 of his 46 significant strikes -- a 57 percent success rate -- en route to finishing his Brazilian opponent.
