134 “Silva vs. Okami” on Aug. 27 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de
Janeiro, Brazil. Eleven fights are now official for the event,
which will air live on pay-per-view.
Alcantara (25-3, 0-0 UFC) has rattled off 11 consecutive victories, 10 of them finishes. He last appeared at WEC 53 in December, when he stopped Ricardo Lamas on first-round punches at the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Ariz. A potent finisher and former Jungle Fight champion, Alcantara has secured 23 of his 25 professional wins by knockout, technical knockout or submission. He has 11-, 16-, 28-, 42-, 45-, 47- and 90-second finishes on his resume.
Carvalho (13-4, 0-0 UFC) will carry a three-fight winning streak
into his promotional debut. The 32-year-old last fought in June,
when he defeated

Meanwhile, Team Quest representative Ian Loveland will lock horns with WEC transfer Yves Jabouin in a preliminary duel at 135 pounds.
An explosive standup fighter, Jabouin has recorded 11 of his 15 professional wins by knockout or technical knockout. The 32-year-old Haitian-born Canadian last appeared at UFC 129 in April, when he succumbed to a flying triangle choke from Pablo Garza at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. Jabouin trains under Firas Zahabi at the Tristar Gym in Montreal.
UFC 134 will mark the promotion’s first trip to Brazil in more than a decade. The event will feature a middleweight title bout between longtime champion Anderson Silva and world-ranked challenger Yushin Okami. The 29-year-old Okami defeated Silva by disqualification at a Rumble on the Rock show in 2006. Silva has 14 consecutive fights since.
