Mills
DiSciullo's ground-and-pound made for
a successful pro MMA debut.
They scramble up, and Allaire connects with a knee to the chest of DiSciullo before forcing him back to the floor. Allaire tries to step from knee-on-belly position into full mount, but instead gets swept underneath. He throws up an armbar, but DiSciullo pulls his arm free and lands five or six right hands that send Allaire to his back. DiSciullo tacks on a pair of heavy forearm strikes and Allaire is out cold for a few moments before referee Keith Peterson recognizes and steps in.

Round 1
Quinn hits an early takedown and climbs on to Van Artsdalen’s back as the Bellator veteran tries to scramble up. Van Artsdalen stands and puts Quinn’s back to the fence, defending against the rear-naked choke until he’s able to shake Quinn. The lightweights clinch up and Van Artsdalen scores with a couple knees to the body as he puts Quinn against the cage. They come off the fence and Quinn drops Van Artsdalen with a knee to the jaw, then jumps on his downed opponent. Van Artsdalen lifts Quinn up, allowing Quinn to lock up an inverted triangle choke. They fall to the ground and Van Artsdalen twists around to get out of trouble -- at least momentarily, as Quinn quickly gets Van Artsdalen back to his knees and goes hunting for another rear-naked choke. Van Artsdalen turns to his back, but it doesn’t prove any safer, as Quinn sinks in an arm-triangle choke and forces the tap.The Official Result

The Official Result
Jeff Nader vs. Mike Mucitelli ruled No Contest (Accidental Eye Poke) R1 1:30Patricky Freire vs. Derek Anderson
Round 1
Both fighters are knocked down in the opening 15 seconds, but both get back to their feet to continue lobbing heavy punches at the other’s head. Anderson runs into a left, a right and another left that puts him on wobbly legs. He stays standing as “Pitbull” shoves him against the fence and tries to take the back. Anderson separates and the lightweights get back to striking as the pace slows. Freire digs a right hand to Anderson’s body, lands a leg kick. Anderson sticks his tongue out and pushes the Brazilian away with a front kick before Freire plows him to the ground. Freire moves quickly to full mount and stays heavy on top as Anderson tries to buck him off. Freire peels off for an armbar, can’t get it and instead throws up a triangle. Anderson is trapped with more than one minute left in the round; he lifts Freire and slams him back down to the canvas, loosening the triangle and forcing Freire to try an armbar. Anderson escapes this, too, and stays on top until the 10-second mark, at which point the lightweights stand and the round ends.Sherdog Scores

Round 2
Anderson slips on a high kick and winds up with Freire in his guard only 30 seconds into the round. The American tries to work back to his feet and is planted back on the floor by Freire, who backs out and allows Anderson to stand after a moment. Freire eats a right hand from Anderson, but he lands a pair of left hooks which have Anderson wobbling again. The fighters trade body shots as they circle one another, both looking for a big shot. Anderson sticks a straight right up top that has Freire shaking his head. After blocking a high kick, Freire shoots in for a double-leg and is shut down. The next shot from Freire fails as well, so he pulls guard. Anderson doesn’t want to go to the ground, so ref Keith Peterson orders Freire back to his feet. Anderson closes in on Freire and sends a couple straight punches down the pipe before the Brazilian hops away.Sherdog Scores

Round 3
Anderson takes the center of the cage and flicks out jabs, while Freire stays with his back almost against the fence, fending Anderson off with kicks. Freire sticks a couple jabs as he comes off the fence, but he’s soon back there with Anderson throwing long punches and kicks. The fighters are trading single shots and leg kicks through the middle of the final round, neither man showing much aggression this late in the bout.K.

Round 1
Kimball works with kicks early, while Filkins looks to blitz with bunches of punches. After scoring with a series of leg kicks, Kimball goes upstairs with a front kick that clips Filkins’ jaw. Filkins gets pushed back to the fence but circles out before Kimball can connect with a leaping kick. Filkins just keeps charging forward with his head down, throwing long punches. He lands a leg kick, then gets tripped to the floor by Kimball. The middleweights are quickly back on their feet, then they separate to resume striking. Filkins covers up to block strikes, so Kimball changes levels and plows him down to the canvas. Again, Filkins is quickly back on his feet, yelling at Kimball to bring the fight. Kimball obliges with another takedown inside the last minute, and Filkins stands up again. Kimball lands a clean side-kick to Filkins’ face, but the “Filthy” one gets in a pair of good punches before being taken down again at the end of the round.Sherdog Scores

Round 2
Filkins tries to swing kicks at Kimball early in round two, only to have one caught and nearly turned into a takedown. This time, Filkins is able to defend against the cage, though referee Todd Anderson twice warns him not to grab the fence. Now it’s Filkins who reverses the position and puts Kimball on his back near the base of the fence. Short shoulder strikes land on Kimball’s face as Filkins leans across his half-guard. As Filkins looks to pass, Kimball busts out and stands, trapping Filkins on his knees against the fence. Filkins hits the switch and lifts Kimball into the air, breaking up a guillotine attempt as he slams the Coloradoan to the mat. Less than two minutes left in the round, and Filkins works on top in Kimball’s closed guard, grinding away with short punches. Filkins stands and tries a corkscrew punch which allows Kimball to scramble up. Kimball tries another takedown and gets stuffed, then back-mounted with only seconds left in the round. Filkins wails away with both hands, trying to put his opponent away as the ref hovers nearby, but Kimball survives to hear the bell.Sherdog Scores

Ward drops a couple short punches through Torrey’s guard, then stands to drop a couple more. Back down comes Ward, now grabbing for a heel hook, but Torrey rolls with it and postures up to punish Ward with ground-and-pound. Now it’s Torrey in Ward’s open guard as the fight slows and both guys grind away with short strikes. Torrey passes to side control and takes a minute before passing to full mount with 20 seconds left in the round. Torrey tries desperately to pound out Ward before the end of the round, but can’t get it done.Sherdog Scores

Again, he’s able to throw Torrey to the ground, this time winding up in half guard. Torrey posts and tries to escape, gets caught underneath Ward’s ground-and-pound and has to go back to guard.K.

viciously exploited it for the stoppage.
The Official Result

Round 1
Butcher comes straight at Santana, throwing punches, but it’s only 20 seconds before Santana grabs hold of his opponent and drives him to the ground. Santana moves to north-south position and works to isolate Butcher’s right arm, but Butcher spins around and puts Santana in half guard. Butcher tries a kimura from underneath, allowing Santana to move back to side control on Butcher’s left side. It’s slow going on the ground as the middleweights grapple, Santana maintaining top position and stepping into full mount with 90 seconds left in the round. Santana adjusts his position and hops off to the right, trying to finish with an arm-triangle choke. He can’t get it, so Santana goes back to mount and tries for an armbar, but Butcher pulls free and takes top position just before the end of the round.>Sherdog Scores

Round 1
Rogers nearly chops the lead leg out from beneath Parlo with his first leg kick, but Parlo stays up and Rogers chases after him. Parlo clinches up and puts Rogers’ back against the cage, working an underhook on the left side and socking Rogers with a couple right hands up top. The middleweights disengage and Rogers launches himself at Parlo with a missed flying knee, then a right hand to the body which connects. Ref Kevin MacDonald warns both fighters to watch their fingers in the exchange. Rogers eats a right hand from Parlo as the American circles around the outside. Rogers connects with a right hook counter, then one down the middle as Parlo lands a leg kick. Parlo misses a right hand and eats two in return. Rogers catches a body kick from Parlo, can’t land anything clean to counter. Parlo drives a knee into Rogers’ gut as the Dane comes in to clinch on the fence again. Rogers stymies a takedown to land on top, but they scramble back up and it’s Parlo landing a hard right hand which drops Rogers to his knees just before the bell.Sherdog Scores

Parlo sends a hard one-two down the middle and avoids the clinch of Rogers as they fight near the fence. A takedown lands for Parlo near the fence; he chips away at Rogers with short punches from half guard before stepping into full mount. Rogers rolls over, momentarily surrendering his back, but he puts it back on the ground before Parlo can secure the position. Parlo has a crucifix for a moment, trapping Rogers’ left arm and dropping right hands at the base of the cage. Back to half guard is Parlo, who lands an elbow and gets a warning from ref MacDonald, as elbow strikes are illegal in the opening rounds of Bellator tournaments. Parlo goes back to drilling left hands and knees into the body of Rogers, who looks up to tell the ref that he’s okay as he continues to try and escape. Parlo is staying heavy on top, though, pinning Rogers and pouring on the short left hands as the last minute of the round ticks away.Sherdog Scores

Round 1
Shlemenko catches a kick and puts Cooper on the ground after 20 seconds, then invites the American to stand. The champion comes in behind a jab to put another left hand on Cooper’s cheek; Cooper waves Shlemenko forward, then continues to circle the perimeter clockwise. Shlemenko catches another body kick, can’t do anything with it this time. He lands a body kick of his own, then a pair of punches, and Cooper again waves him forward. Cooper ducks in with a short uppercut that draws an arm-raise from the Russian. A spinning back-fist clips Cooper, who recovers before Shlemenko can blitz him on the fence. Cooper tries a double-leg, so Shlemenko rushes to the fence and sprawls, then goes for a front headlock which causes Cooper to relent and stand. A left hook from Cooper sends Shlemenko staggering backward; Cooper tries to walk him down, but Shlemenko catches another kick and slows the attack. Down to the final 30 seconds of the opening round, Cooper scores with another uppercut on the ducking champion. Round 2
Shlemenko is on the offensive early, clipping Cooper with a left hand on the beard. Cooper doesn’t appear fazed, coming back at Shlemenko with leg kicks and trading hands as they work along the outside. Now, Cooper closes in on Shlemenko near the fence, but he can only land a slapping leg kick before the champ circles out. Shlemenko tries another spinning back-fist which goes off Cooper’s gloves. Now bleeding above his left eye, Shlemenko tries to hold Cooper on the fence but can’t keep him there long. Cooper runs him across the cage to land a takedown of his own. Shlemenko gets to all fours, eats a couple punches before Cooper releases. Shlemenko just keeps walking straight at Cooper, then throwing three- or four-punch combinations once they near the fence. Cooper is just absorbing the shots that get through, then circling out. A left hook clips Cooper with 90 seconds left, then a short right hand. Shlemenko is bloodied and breathing heavy but still pressing the action. He turns away a double-leg attempt and slugs Cooper with a right hand, then a partially blocked head kick. Cooper slugs back with a right hand that dazes Shlemenko, who covers up on his feet while Cooper tries to put him away with uppercuts. Shlemenko grabs the Thai clinch and brings Cooper to his knees with a big knee up the middle. A guillotine attempt is quickly abandoned by Shlemenko, who allows Cooper to stand. Cooper gets some space with a right hand, takes a moment and comes back to try a single-leg on the cage. Shlemenko defends and escapes, then moves forward to hit Cooper with a couple knees to the gut. Cooper tries a single, dodges a headlock and switches to a double to finish the takedown. Cooper seems to have recovered and is back on his feet after 40 seconds, but he’s breathing heavy as Shlemenko moves in to hold him on the fence. Shlemenko backs out and steps away, inviting Cooper to come forward. A body kick lands for Shlemenko, then a right hand grazes for Cooper. Another kick is caught by Shlemenko, and Cooper puts his hands on the ground; Shlemenko takes advantage by driving a hard knee into his challenger’s exposed side. Cooper comes right back for another single, again defended by Shlemenko. The middleweights reset and Cooper lunges with a missed overhand right, countered by a clean Shlemenko left hand. Cooper slaps with a pair of leg kicks outside, the second of which is caught by Shlemenko and used to put Cooper on the cage. They split with three minutes left in the fight and Cooper dives right back in to go for another takedown. Shlemenko stuffs it again, puts a straight left down the middle, a kick on Cooper’s body, then eats a right-handed counter from the challenger.K.
