Bellator Adds Ex-Invicta FC Talent Amanda Bell to Women’s Featherweight Division
Four-time Invicta Fighting Championships competitor Amanda Bell
has signed a contract with Bellator MMA.
The California-based promotion announced the signing on Tuesday. A date and opponent for Bell’s Bellator debut were not revealed. The promotion recently crowned its inaugural women’s 145-pound champion on March 3, when Julia Budd earned a fourth-round technical knockout triumph against Marloes Coenen at Bellator 174.
Bell owns a 4-4 career mark and is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Gabrielle Holloway at KOTC “Heavy Trauma” on Feb. 4. “The Lady Killer” is probably best known for her 37-second knockout victory of Ronda Rousey training partner Marina Shafir in 2014.
Bell went 1-3 in Invicta, notably falling Megan Anderson, the organization’s current featherweight queen, via first-round KO last May. Bell’s lone Invicta triumph was a first-round stoppage of Maria Hougaard Djursaa in November 2014.
