Evan Dunham vs. Leonardo Santos Set for UFC Fight Night in Brazil on May 14
A lightweight scrap pitting Evan Dunham against Leonardo Santos has been booked for the UFC’s trip to Brazil on May 14.
Promotion officials recently announced the pairing. The UFC Fight Night event, which does not have a location yet, is headlined by a middleweight showdown between Vitor Belfort and Ronaldo Souza and will air on Fox Sports 1. The card also includes a welterweight clash between Matt Brown and Demian Maia.
Santos, the winner of Season 2 of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil,” is 4-0-1 during his promotional tenure. Most recently, the Nova Uniao product scored a first-round technical knockout triumph over American prospect Kevin Lee at UFC 194 this past December. Santos is unbeaten in his last 10 fights overall.
After a rough stretch in which he lost four of five bouts from September 2012 to July 2014, Dunham turned things around with a 3-0 2015 campaign. During that time, Dunham posted unanimous decision triumphs over Rodrigo Damm, Ross Pearson and Joe Lauzon to improve to 10-6 during his UFC career.
