Fabricio Andrade Breaks John Lineker, Seizes One Championship Bantamweight Title
Fabricio Andrade hammered away at John Lineker until he could no longer continue.
The 25-year-old Andrade (9-2, 6-0 ONE) struck One Championship gold in the ONE on Prime Video 7 headliner on Friday at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, where he prompted a corner stoppage against his fellow Brazilian in between the fourth and fifth rounds to walk away with the undisputed bantamweight crown.

In the co-main event, Tawanchai PK Saenchai needed less than a minute to retain the ONE muay thai featherweight championship at the expense of Jamal Yusupov. Saenchai (129-31) brought it to a close with one brutal leg kick just 49 seconds into Round 1.
Yusupov (55-10) never stood a chance. Saenchai pushed him backward with a variety of kicks to the leg, body and head. The 23-year-old Thai superstar reset in open space and fired a devastating kick that connected just above the knee. The impact buckled Yusupov and forced him to retreat to the safety of the ropes, where referee Olivier Coste assessed the situation and called for the stoppage.
Meanwhile, former two-division ONE titleholder Martin Nguyen leaned on a multi-pronged standup attack and a late takedown in a unanimous decision over Leonardo Casotti in a three-round featherweight showcase. All three ringside judges saw it for Nguyen (15-6, 12-6 ONE), who rebounded from a Sept. 30 defeat to Ilya Freymanov.
Casotti (9-3, 0-1 ONE) launched spinning attacks with his hands and feet, fought fire with some of his own and handled himself well in his promotional debut. However, Nguyen simply had too many options at his disposal. The Cabra Kai Academy representative zeroed in on Casotti’s lower lead leg with repeated kicks, cut loose with a persistent jab and staggered the Brazilian more than once with counter right hands. Nguyen mixed in a takedown with roughly two minutes remaining in Round 3 and ultimately progressed to full mount, pairing his positional advances with elbow-laced ground-and-pound.
The loss was Casotti’s first since July 25, 2015 and snapped his nine-fight winning streak.
In other action, Saemapetch Fairtex laid claim to a unanimous decision over Zhang Chenglong in a three-round bantamweight kickboxing confrontation; Danny Kingad (15-3, 11-3 ONE) outpointed Eko Roni Saputra (7-2, 7-2 ONE) to a unanimous verdict in their three-round flyweight tilt; Danielle Kelly was awarded a unanimous decision over Ayaka Miura in their hypercompetitive 10-minute submission grappling showdown at a 119-pound catchweight; Francesco Xhaja eked out a split verdict over Andrei Stoica in their three-round light heavyweight kickboxing battle; Adrian Mattheis (11-6, 11-6 ONE) put away Zelang Zhaxi (16-8-1, 3-3 ONE) with punches 57 seconds into the first round of their strawweight pairing; Tommy Langaker dispatched Uali Kurzhev with a heel hook 4:59 into their submission grappling match at 170 pounds; and Victoria Souza (7-1, 1-1 ONE) took a unanimous decision from Linda Darrow (6-1, 6-1 ONE) in a three-round women’s atomweight affair.
