UFC ‘The Ultimate Fighter 16’ Finale Drug Test Results: All Fighters Cleared by NAC
All fighters who competed at “The Ultimate Fighter 16” Finale were tested for drugs and steroids, and all fighters came back clean, according to the Nevada Athletic Commission.
“All contestants were tested. All test results were negative,” NAC Executive Director Keith Kizer told Sherdog.com via email Monday.
A total of 22 men competed on the Dec. 15 UFC card at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. That number would have been 24, but a lightweight bout between Melvin Guillard and Jamie Varner was scrapped mid-show when Varner became ill backstage.
The evening’s main event saw heavyweight Roy Nelson punch out onetime “TUF 10” castmate Matt Mitrione in less than three minutes, while welterweight Colton Smith became the latest “TUF” winner by taking a one-sided unanimous nod over Mike Ricci.
