Dos Santos’ sparring Kleber Orgulho headlines Jungle Fight 43 lineup
Sep 30, 2012 Comments
(PRESS RELEASE) -- South-American’s MMA largest promotion, Jungle
Fight hits the city of Sao Paulo once again for its 43rd edition,
this Saturday (Sept. 29), at Clube Escola Lapa’s arena. Headlining
the show is the hot prospect Kleber Orgulho (10-3), a 26-years old
training partner of UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos
Santos at Champion Team, in Bahia, Northeast of Brazil. He
debuts at the middleweight division against BJJ blackbelt and muay
thai specialist Itamar Rosa
(6-2), after claiming the light heavyweight belt last January, at
JF 36, with a TKO victory over Emiliano
Sordi. It’s the restart of the 185lbs GP after Marcelo
Guimaraes followed to the UFC.
Last beaten in November of 2010, Kleber Orgulho comes from a five-winning streak, the last three all by TKO or KO. Trained by the world-known coach Luiz Dorea and by Yuri Carlton, the man who discovered Junior dos Santos, Orgulho wants to make a premiere debut at the 185lbs division, despite the toughness of cut almost 35lbs.
“It’s a tough experience to cut weight like that”, he stated. “I
followed strictly my team strategy and got it. Itamar Rosa
is going to pay the price of making me suffer so much (laughing).
He is guilty for that and I’m gonna charge him. I’m well prepared
in every aspect of the fight to make a good debut, with good
boxing, muay thai and BJJ skills. Now I’m much bigger and stronger
than my opponents and ready to make path to another Jungle Fight
belt”.
Willing to stop Kleber Orgulho’s streak is Itamar Rosa, a 32-year old knock-out artist, who won his last two fights in the first round, one of them after only 37 seconds. Rosa respects his opponent, but doesn’t fear him. He sees the opportunity to face such a tough fighter as Kleber Orgulho a good welcome door to open for the greatest MMA promotions.
Fighting out from Billings, Montana, is the 18-year X-Gym USA representative Sean Peters. He comes to debut in Brazil followed by BJJ 7th degree blackbelt Sylvio Behring, willing to advance to next stage of the lightweight Grand Prix. He faces Bolivian Carlos Bazan Rojas, who hit 159lbs instead of 155lbs and is going to give him 30% of his purse. The lightweight GP, once won by Francisco Drinaldo “Massaranduba”, also has Lucio Curado vs Gabriel Moraes and Ary Santos vs Robert Fonseca. For the middleweights Edvaldo Gameth faces Pedro da Rosa, while for the welterweights Douglas Bertazini faces Elias Silverio and for the bantamweight Reginaldo Vieira has Ronaldo Gauss as opponent.

“He is not used to fight at 185lbs such as I am”, Rosa observed.
“On the other hand, I’ve already fought in higher weight classes
and I see this as an advantage for me, especially in terms of
punching potency. I know I’m facing a great fighter, but who knows?
Maybe it’s my time to become the Jungle Fight champion. I’m sure if
I beat Kleber Orgulho this Saturday I’m going to be extremely
confident for the next bouts”.
