2022 PFL Finalist Dilano Taylor Wants to Buy His Mom a House, Provide for His Family
2022 was quite the year for Dilano Taylor, who is just a victory away from pocketing a $1 million prize. After competing in the PFL Challenger Series, Taylor (10-2, 3-1 PFL) found himself ready to step up on short notice to face and defeat Joao Zeferino in the Professional Fighters League regular season. While “The Postman” lost his subsequent clash with 2018 PFL champion Magomed Magomedkerimov, Taylor made the most out of another last-minute opportunity when he substituted Magomed Umalatov against Rory MacDonald. On that occasion, Taylor wrecked “The Red King” in the opening frame, leading to the former Bellator MMA 170-pound titleholder's retirement. In case of victory in the tournament, Taylor wants to make sure his family has all it needs.
“What I would like to do with that million is provide for my family. I wanna buy my mom a house, give my brothers a place to stay in, take care of my daughter, of course, and make sure everybody has everything that they need without me having to worry about fighting for survival. I feel like I've been put in a position where I'm just overall, genuinely just blessed. There's a lot of fighters who don't even ever see six figures in their whole career, let alone a million dollars. I feel like I've been put in a position to where I can be blessed enough to be able to bless my family and bless potentially other people when the time comes if I move right and do everything the way it needs to be done.”
