Darrion Caldwell Doesn’t Care to Watch His Opponents, ‘I Can Win 99% of Street Fights’

Darrion Caldwell is called to bounce back from a three-bout skid in his upcoming assignment at Bellator 290.

Former Bellator MMA 135-pound kingpin Caldwell (15-6, 12-6 Bellator) is scheduled to take the on surging Nikita Mikhailov at Bellator 290 on Feb. 4. “The Wolf” has dropped three consecutive fights for the first time in his career, losing to A.J. McKee, Leandro Higo and Enrique Barzola. While speaking with Sherdog, Caldwell confessed he doesn’t usually watch any film of his opponents because he’s confident his fighting skills are more than enough to take home the victory. Caldwell also reflected on his latest defeat, making the proper adjustments to bounce back from his current skid.

“I usually don't watch fights. Unless I've seen him on a come-up or something, like a fight that I've been watching, there's no need for me to go back and dig up a fight on what he’s like, what he’d do. I could really care less, honestly. I'm gonna just focus on my myself, you know? I know I win 99% of any street fight, right? If I can win 99% of any street fight and I don't know anything about [that] guy, why can’t I do it with this guy? I'm training and I've been training.”
