“Cowboy” will attempt to snap a career-worst four-fight losing streak when he confronts Price in the UFC Fight Night 178 co-feature on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The two welterweights have combined for 40 finishes in 50 combined wins between them. Cerrone has fallen into a downward spiral following consecutive defeats to a veritable murderer’s row of opponents: Tony Ferguson, Justin Gaethje, Conor McGregor and Anthony Pettis. Price, meanwhile, finds himself on the rebound after a third-round technical knockout loss to Vicente Luque in their UFC 249 rematch on May 9.
As Cerrone and Price make final preparations for their three-round
battle, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to
this point:
37: Years of age for Cerrone, who was born in Colorado Springs on March 29, 1983.
