By The Numbers: Eddie Alvarez vs. Iuri Lapicus
Eddie Alvarez carries the kind of profile all less-established prospects want—and hunt.
The former Ultimate Fighting Championship and Bellator MMA titleholder will pit his experience and accomplishments against once-beaten upstart Iuri Lapicus in the One Championship on TNT 1 co-main event this Wednesday at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. Alvarez has not competed since he submitted Eduard Folayang with a rear-naked choke at One Championship “Dawn of Heroes” in 2019. Lapicus, meanwhile, last appeared at One Championship “Inside the Matrix” on Oct. 30, when he succumbed to first-round punches from Christian Lee in a failed bid to capture the promotion’s lightweight crown.
