By The Numbers: Marlon Vera vs. Davey Grant
Marlon Vera and Davey Grant have some unfinished business to settle.
More than five years after their first encounter resulted in a unanimous decision for Grant, the two bantamweight hopefuls will rematch each other in a UFC on ESPN 25 showcase this Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Vera has posted six wins in his past eight outings. The Team Oyama standout last competed at UFC Fight Night 183, where he surrendered a unanimous verdict to the great Jose Aldo. Grant, meanwhile, enters the cage on a three-fight winning streak. “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 18 finalist last appeared at UFC Fight Night 187 in March, when he punched out Jonathan Martinez a little more than three minutes into the second round.
