By The Numbers: One Championship ‘Full Blast’ Pre-Fight Edition

Kantharaj Shankar Agasa wants nothing more than to make a sudden impact in One Championship.

The Indian Combat Sports Academy product will make his promotional debut opposite Wei Xie in the One Championship “Full Blast” co-main event on Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. They are set to play second fiddle to a muay Thai headliner between Saemapetch Fairtex and Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek-U-Thai.

Agasa has not fought since he laid claim to a unanimous decision over Nawras Abzakh under the Brave Combat Federation banner in November 2019. The win closed the book on a two-fight losing streak. Xie, meanwhile, last appeared at One Championship “Collision Course,” where he stopped Chan Rothana with third-round punches on Dec. 18. He has rattled off six victories across his past seven outings.

As One Championship “Full Blast” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the card have generated to this point:

One Championship “Full Blast” airs Friday in more than 150 countries on televisions, tablets, computers and mobile devices at 8:30 a.m. ET.

5: First-round finishes on the Agasa resume. The Indian Combat Sports Academy export delivered all five of them inside his first six professional appearances.

4: Promotions in which Xie has competed as a mixed martial artist. He has gone 6-1 in One Championship, 1-0 in the Chin Woo Men MMA Professional League, 0-1 in Wu Lin Feng and 0-1 in Kunlun Fight.

13: Ahmed Faress wins by submission, accounting for 81% of his career total. His methods of choice: seven rear-naked chokes, five armbars and one triangle choke. Faress boasts three other wins by knockout or technical knockout. He faces Edward Kelly in a three-round featherweight showcase.

21: Seconds needed for Kelly to knock out Meas Meu with a head kick and follow-up punches in their One “Global Superheroes” confrontation on Jan. 26, 2018. It remains the fastest finish of his 20-fight career.

924: Days since Hui Liang last visited the winner’s circle. “The Little Monster” followed a November 2018 decision victory over Maksadzhon Yusupov with four consecutive defeats. Liang, 22, looks to snap his four-fight losing streak in a showdown with the American Kickboxing Academy’s Anthony Do in a three-round catchweight tilt at 127 pounds.

6: Stoppage victories to Do’s credit, four of them of the third-round variety. The former Universal Reality Combat Championship titleholder put away La Vang with punches 3:14 into the third round of their Dragon House 21 pairing on Aug. 22, 2015, cut down Albert Tapia with punches 1:57 into the third round of their Dragon House 27 confrontation on Nov. 18, 2017, submitted Fritz Biagtan with a rear-naked choke 4:20 into the third round of their URCC 34 clash on Aug. 4, 2018 and wiped out Ryo Hatta with punches 2:08 into the third round of their Pancrase 301 encounter on Nov. 25, 2018.

.675: Cumulative winning percentage between the six fighters scheduled to compete at the event. They own a combined record of 56-26-1. Faress owns the most victories (16) of any competitor on the card, while Kelly has been saddled with the most losses (eight).
