They can see the promised land from their current perch.

Rob Wilkinson and Delan Monte will toe the line against one another in the Professional Fighters League light heavyweight semifinals in a featured PFL 7 attraction on Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York. The winner moves on for a shot at $1 million in November. Wilkinson steps to the plate with the wind from a four-fight winning streak in his sails. He last competed PFL 4, where he needed a little more than three minutes to dispatch Viktor Pesta with punches on June 17. Monte has won four of his past five bouts. He also took his most recent assignment at PFL 4, as he wiped out Emiliano Sordi with punches in a mere 92 seconds.

As Wilkson and Monte make final preparations for their forthcoming showdown at 205 pounds, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

30: Years of age for Wilkinson, who was born on Feb. 22, 1992 in Hobart, Australia.

7: Wilkinson victories by submission, accounting for 47% of his career total (15). His methods of choice: three rear-naked chokes, two guillotine chokes, one triangle choke and one armbar. Wilkinson holds seven other victories by knockout or technical knockout (47%) and one more by decision.

82: Seconds needed for Wilkinson to put away Daniel Almeida with punches at Hex Fight Series 21 on April 9, 2021. Having occurred in his final pre-PFL appearance, it remains his fastest finish to date.

7: Mixed martial arts organizations for which Monte has suited up. He has gone 3-0 in Grand Fighting Championship, 1-1 in the PFL, 1-1 in Shoot Brazil, 1-0 in Sobral Extreme Fighter, 1-0 in Katana fight, 1-0 in Arena Global and 1-0 in the Brazilian Fighting Series.
