Bellator MMA’s Season 10 middleweight tournament will conclude in Rama, Ontario, when Brett Cooper and Brandon Halsey square off in the main event of Bellator 119.
The promotion Monday announced that the Cooper-Halsey bout will headline their May 9 event at Casino Rama, supported by a featherweight tournament final between Daniel Weichel and Desmond Green. The show’s four-bout main card airs live on Spike TV.
Also slated for broadcast is an intriguing featherweight tilt which pits WEC veteran Chris Horodecki against former Sengoku champion Marlon Sandro. Unbeaten heavyweight Raphael Butler will feature on the televised card against an as-yet-unannounced opponent.
Bellator 119’s six-fight undercard stream live on Spike.com, topped by a featherweight fight between previous tournament winner Shahbulat Shamhalaev and entrant Fabricio “Guerreiro” da Silva. Well-traveled veterans Marius Zaromskis and Vaughn Anderson will meet in a welterweight affair, while Canadian John Alessio will look to snap a four-fight winless streak against countryman Guillaume DeLorenzi in a 165-pound affair.
In other preliminary action, Brian Rogers faces Johan Romming at middleweight; Stuart Austin meets Craig Hudson at heavyweight; and Jason Meisel takes on Remy Bussieres at lightweight.
