Joseph Holmes Quit Smoking Marijuana after His Disappointing UFC Debut
Some bad habits may have cost Joseph Holmes victory in his Ultimate Fighting Championship debut in January. Holmes (7-2, 0-1 UFC) liked to smoke both marijuana and tobacco until a few weeks ago, which he believes showed in his decision loss to Jamie Pickett at UFC on ESPN 32. According to “Ugly Man,” smoking impacted his cardio and he didn’t perform like usual, which is why he opted to quit for good ahead of his clash with Alen Amedovski at UFC Fight Night 206. His choice to break those habits is still affecting his mind, however, as Holmes confessed he is haunted by some nasty nightmares recently.
